  • Set the floor level and define the mocap zone, adjustable from 1m x 1m x 1.5m up to 5m x 5m x 3m. With hands motion capture, the maximum mocap zone becomes slightly smaller

Setup Requirements

    • Keep the mocap zone flat, clear and uncluttered
    • Avoid mirrors and reflective surfaces around the setup. If the floor is reflective, use a carpet or mat
    • Place MOVIN TRACIN at least 1.2 m (47 in) away from the mocap zone
    • Use adequate lighting for best results. Low-light capture is possible, but hand tracking may be unavailable

FAQ

What accessories do we need to prepare in advance?

A. We strongly recommend preparing a tripod to ensure stable and precise motion data. MOVIN TRACIN must be installed at the exact height (85cm or 34inch) for the best motion quality.

USB-to-Ethernet adapter is required when your desktop doesn't have enough Ethernet ports. MOVIN TRACIN must be connected directly to the desktop, and using a switch hub or router may cause connection errors. Quick mount system will be helpful if you frequently attach and detach MOVIN TRACIN from the tripod.

Here are some recommended accessories for your setup.

Should we use MOVIN TRACIN with a tripod?

A. Yes. The installation height plays a critical role in motion quality. To maintain the exact height (85cm or 34inch), we highly recommend using a tripod. MOVIN TRACIN must remain fixed during use, and a tripod helps ensure stable and consistent positioning.

Please note that the tripod is not included when purchasing MOVIN TRACIN.

Do I need to purchase an additional license to use MOVIN TRACIN?

A. No. When you purchase MOVIN TRACIN, a Starter License is included for free.

With the Starter License, you can capture up to 30 minutes of motion per month and enjoy unlimited live-streaming to virtual platforms such as Warudo and VRChat at no additional cost.

What do the Unlimited License and the Perpetual Package include, and how are they different?

A. Both the Unlimited License and the Perpetual Package offer unlimited motion capture, hands motion capture through MOVIN TRACIN, and unlimited live-streaming to 3D engines such as Unity and Unreal Engine, as well as live visual tools like Notch and TouchDesigner.

The key difference is how the features are provided. The Perpetual Package is a one-time purchase and includes a fixed set of features based on the version you buy. Any new features added afterward are not included, and you’ll need an Upgrade Package to use those newer features.

The Unlimited License allows unlimited use during the period you purchase (monthly or yearly) and includes every new feature and update released during that time.

Is a Wi-Fi or internet connection required?

A. The Starter License requires an internet connection at all times.

If you have the Unlimited License or Perpetual Package, an internet connection is required only for the login and setup. After this, you can continue using the product offline as long as the device remains connected and your setup isn’t reset.

If you need to set up the device offline, you can use the product for up to 24 hours as long as you have completed the setup online at least once before. After the offline period ends, you’ll need to reconnect to the internet to refresh access.

Can I use MOVIN TRACIN outdoors? What about very low or strong lighting conditions?

A. Yes. With low-light mode enabled, MOVIN TRACIN can capture motion reliably in low-light environments and outdoors, as well as handle strong or direct lighting conditions using LiDAR.

Please note that hand motion capture is not available while using this mode.

Is the price the same for all countries?

A. Yes, the price is set globally. However, the final amount may vary depending on your country's import duties and tax policies. You can convert the price to your local currency at checkout.

Does MOVIN TRACIN support object tracking or multi-person capture?

A. Object tracking and multi-person capture is not yet available, but it is planned for release. Stay tuned!

Does MOVIN TRACIN support face tracking?

A. No. We recommend using a separate face-tracking app and combining it with MOVIN TRACIN in your platform of choice.

Can MOVIN TRACIN track only the upper body using only an upper-body camera view?

A. No. MOVIN TRACIN requires full-body visibility for tracking. If you only need upper-body data, capture full-body first and then use only the upper-body portion of the motion data in your workflow.

What is the power consumption of the product?

A. It consumes approximately 60W of power.

Is the LiDAR used in MOVIN TRACIN safe for humans? Could it be harmful to the eyes or skin?

A. Yes, it’s safe. MOVIN TRACIN uses a 905nm LiDAR sensor, a technology widely used in service robots and industrial devices for its proven safety. Our LiDAR is certified as “Class 1 Eye-Safe” under the IEC 60825-1 standard, which means it poses no risk to the eyes or skin during normal use.

We Use the Hesai JT128, 905nm LiDAR, which operates at a 905nm wavelength and is intended for short-range detection up to 30 meters. This wavelength is widely used in service robots, vacuums, and industrial automation due to its proven safety and reliability. All commercial LiDARs, including ours, are certified as “CLASS 1 EYE-SAFE” under IEC 60825-1 standards. This means the product does not pose a hazard to the human eye or skin during normal use. In contrast, 1550nm LiDARs—used in long-range or autonomous vehicle systems—can operate at higher power levels and may present risks if not properly controlled. The 905nm class operates under stricter power limits, making it better suited for safe, general-purpose robotics.
3. Privacy Issue : Our products include built-in LiDAR and camera sensors. MOVIN DOES NOT STORE, TRANSMIT, OR UPLOAD ANY VIDEO OR SENSOR DATA TO ITS SERVERS.
